……. the great efficacy of the Shinto Ritual is the affect the KI at crossroads / pivot points….. as we approach the natural pivot point of the Season of Touji-no-Hi/ the Winter Solstice , the completion of 2023 and the Opening of 2024 we are filled with hope for better direction and new possibilities in the New Year. Greeting the New Year with the Hatsumoude/ the 1st shrine visit if the New Year is an activity whose importance to set the tone/ feeling of the New Year cannot be overstated.

HATSUMOUDE = the 1st shrine vist of the New Year:  shall we consider the importance of beginnings, the literal moment / interval between one thing and another and the special power/ efficacy of changing the KI, setting the “tone” via the power of beginning…..

It is difficult to convey the importance of O-shogatsu/  the New Year—— in Japan , since ancient times the feeling that all the Fuku/ good fortune- blessings  gifted by the divine world to the living world arrives at the Opening of the New Year. Special  significance/ importance has always been placed on the efficacy of influencing the course of the year, the feeling of the year via the power of the first meal, the first dream, the first calligraphy etc. Shall we collectively utilize the power of beginning by celebrating the opening of Reiwa 6, Kinoe-Tatsu-Doshi, Sanpeki Mokusei Chugu, 2024 by making in person or virtual Hatsumoude at Kannagara Chikyu Jinja—— shall we receive the blessings of, pledge to cooperate with and express gratitude to Inari Sanza/ Kannagara Okamitachi at the pivotal time of the New Year Opening.

REIWA 6, 2024 KI TREND

……. astrology is comprised of 3 elements---the teaching of Heaven, the teaching of Earth and the teaching of Humankind.

The teaching of Heaven is the Jikkan: the 10 celestial stems----the inner and outer aspects of the 5 elements

The Teaching of Earth is the Eto system or Junishi: the 12 directions, 12 zodiac animals.

The teaching of Man is the Kyusei Kigaku: the 9-star KI

2024 will be Reiwa 6, Kinoe Tatsu-doshi, Sanpeki Mokusei Chugu = the 6the yer of Reiwa era, Elder tree Dragon Year, #3 Bright Green Tree KI

KINOE (Jikkan of 2024)

Reiwa 6/ 2024 will be Kinoe...Kinoe is the first element of the Jikkan/ 10 celestial stems and is the elder (yang) aspect of trees...
All things that are born or created as well as all actions originate in the realm of Ki. All living things whose roots consist of Ki, are born from the Ki allowing them to grow, blossom, bear fruit and then eventually wither away to be reborn as seeds. This is the way of kannagara (like kami or the way of the kami), this is the path led by the movements of the seasons of Dai Shizen (Great Nature). Without Ki, it is impossible to live, progress or regenerate.

Kinoe is represented by a bud sprouting from underneath its shell that protected it during the winter. This also symbolizes the beginning of a new innovation shedding the conventional habits and ridding itself of the old system. It is a beginning of an activity of new and creative construction. Kinoe is therefore also called “hajimaru” meaning “beginning”.

This period of budding or sprouting calls for caution…there is some fragility during this generative process.

TATSU (The Dragon)

2024 will be the Tatsu-doshi, the year of the Dragon. The direction of the Dragon is to the East South East. The trigram is Shin. Tatsu/ dragon suggests a focused yet cautious determination to continue our shared work, our efforts to advance towards the realization of the endless dream of : Kami no Mikuni ( the world of coexistence and cooperation with Divine Nature) regardless of various obstacles, hindrances and disappointments we may encounter. Further, Dragon implies “upper”, Ten/Heaven , Kami and ideal, and is also associated with shin (vibration), shin (growth) and shin (to appear in the eastern sky).

All that exists, all beings, all things including each human being has his or her own unique mission to accomplish. The Ki of Tatsu/Dragon means to accomplish, to realize these unique missions by intuiting and following Kannagara as the flow of the Ki in Nature (Shizen). Unexpected changes, disappointments or disasters may appear ....situations can deteriorate but we must be re-invigorated re-energized again and again to continue in a grounded and positive manner. Further difficulties can manifest even after break-throughs and understanding. Tatsu/ the Dragon symbolizes the impetus, the wavefront of growth. Although all things may not grow as smoothly as planned, they will progress at their own pace. The Ki of Yang is eternally active and ultimately encourages growth and progress.

The Ki of Yang--- or positive Ki --- is associated with Shin (to appear in the eastern sky). This means the stage where owing to the light and warmth and vitality of the sun, trees are growing much more actively. Tatsu/ Dragon suggests these vibrant trees as well as roots penetrating deeply into the earth, communicating, absorbing water and nutrients while inexorably moving through earth or rocks that stand in their path.

The danger point of Tatsu Doshi is that it is a time when natural disasters such as avalanches, mudslides, gales and tornadoes are likely to happen. The Kyusei Kigaku furthers suggest the potential for chaos.

SANPEKI MOKUSEI, #3 Bright Green Tree Star KI of 2024 = KI Arises..

Sanpeki Mokusei KI will occupy the center position of Monthly influence of Reiwa 6/ 2024…. #3 KI suggest rapid growth and action (opposite of seasonal KI in Northern Hemisphere) . This annual KI feeling will be similiar to the Shiryoku Mokusei/ #4 Dark Green Tree KI of 2023 with the addition of element of chaotic growth.

The innate position of Sanpeki Mokusei is in the East….meaning rising and early morning ..this is SHIN of the 8 trigrams which implies the element of Fire and also thunder — the position on the human body is the right side area of the liver— also is the direction of U / Rabbit of the Junishi. Eto of 2024, Tatsu/ Dragon’s direction is SSE, adjacent to direction of Dragon. Sanpeki Mokusei implies when the seedling develops the trefoil leaf and enters the phase of rapid energetic growth….it means seedlings have become strong enough to weather wind and rain. Sanpeki Mokusei means the vigorous movement of Early Spring when the forest floor grows rapidly in the effort to reach maturity before the development of the deciduous canopy. This is also analogous to age three in the human beings development and means a time of remarkable brain development by the will of Okami. Significant linguistic development and the year for 7-5-3 Mairi to local Jinja.

KI arises is the phrase of Sanpeki Mokusei…it is the number of Musubi (the knot tied between being and not being)..it means to create something new and the emergence of inspired ideas…
